Issey Miyake Stages Costume Design for Némo Flouret's "Derniers Feux"
The Instagram post centers on Satoshi Kondo's costume design for Némo Flouret's contemporary dance piece "Derniers Feux." Within this asset, Issey Miyake describes the project as "a collaboration that integrates expressive garments with choreography and scenography" and names both the Festival d'Avignon premiere and recent Grand Palais performances. The post uses a partnership tag with @nemoflouret, positioning the relationship as artistic and performance-focused.
The post positions Issey Miyake within a live performance lineage and makes the performance calendar its primary reference point. By foregrounding Satoshi Kondo’s work for Némo Flouret, it frames the women’s collection as material for movement and stage architecture. This choice extends the house’s known interest in pleats, body mechanics, and garment engineering into contemporary European performance institutions; Avignon and the Grand Palais supply an institutional stage that a standard studio post cannot replicate. The named collaboration with @nemoflouret connects the brand to choreographic authorship and a specialist audience that values creative process. Because the caption leads with premiere dates, travel, and performances, the signal centers cultural programming. The result is a quiet reinforcement of Issey Miyake’s identity as a design house whose garments perform in motion. Strategists should watch whether this collaboration generates further performance documentation, Paris programming, or a traceable product response from the house.
